The games are played so rapid at the WSOP that often players do not have the time to react to ever single strategy. Often an experienced player due to game situation make unpredictable mistake which costs him badly later in the match. I have witnessed many such situations and also fell in such traps during my online poker games. Sam Farha made a similar mistake at the WSOP 2003 Texas Hold’em no limit challenge.

It is a tuff contest between Farha with $1,800,000 chips and his opponent Chris Moneymaker with valuation of $6,600,000 in chips. Farha called for $100,000 with J of hearts and T of diamond in hand. Money maker accepted the challenge with 5 of diamonds and 4 of spades. The turn was flopped with J and 5 of spades and 4 of clubs resulting into bottom pair for Moneymaker and top pair for Farha. Money maker did not take another chance and played safe whereas Farha raised another bet of $175,000. Money maker played the final hand with two pair and continued to dominate with full house. Farha had no chance of comeback and lost to Chris.

Moneymaker won the title with $2,500,000 as prize money. Moneymaker played well enough to trap Farha and surrender in the match. Farha had a option to bluff at the time of flop but he failed to held the strategy and gave way to Chris. Chris played in his own style and never allowed Farha to dominate his game.
